Overview

Talang Sverige, formerly named Talang between 2007–2011, is the Swedish version of the Got Talent series show where singers, dancers, comedians, variety acts, and other performers compete against each other for audience support and the prize money. The show was broadcast for five seasons on TV4, between 2007–2011, before TV4 put the show on indefinite hiatus. Two years later, on June 19, 2013, TV3 announced that they had acquired the rights for the show and will re-launch the show in Spring 2014 under the name "Talang Sverige".

Talang 2007 was the first season of the show Talang, the Swedish version of Got Talent. Talang 2007 had its premiere on April 13, 2007 and ended on June 1, 2007. The winner of the show was Zillah & Totte. This season was hosted by Peppe Eng, and the judges were: Tobbe Blom, Hanna Hedlund and Bert Karlsson.

Talang 2008 was the second season of the talent show Talang, the Swedish version of Got Talent. It was broadcast from April 2008 to May 2008. The host was only one person, Peppe Eng, with Kodjo Akolor as his "sidekick". The panel of judges was Bert Karlsson, Sofia Wistam and Tobbe Blom. This season was won by 10-year-old singer Zara Larsson, who received the prize money of 500,000 SEK as a result. The audition tour visited Falun, Umeå, Malmö, Gothenburg and Stockholm. All auditions took place in March 2008, one month before the season started broadcasting on TV.

Talang 2009 was the third season of the talent show Talang, the Swedish version of Got Talent. Talang 2009 had its premiere on April 3, 2009. The winner of the show was 30 year old magician Charlie Caper, and 12 year old piano player David Movsesian came runner-up. This season was hosted by Markoolio and Tobbe Blom, and the judges were: Bert Karlsson, Charlotte Perrelli and Johan Pråmell.

Talang 2010 was the fourth season of the talent show Talang, the Swedish version of Got Talent. Talang 2010 had its premiere on April 2, 2010 and ended on June 4, 2010. The winner of the show was the 15 year old opera singer Jill Svensson, and 9 year old violinist Daniel Lozakovitj came runner-up. Hosts and judges were the same as in Talang 2009.

Talang 2011 was the fifth season of the talent show Talang, the Swedish version of Got Talent. Both Bert Karlsson and Charlotte Perrelli returned as judges while Henrik Fexeus became the new third judge. The season featured eleven episodes and started broadcasting on 1 April 2011, with the final held on 10 June 2011. The season was won by speedcuber Simon Westlund. After the 2011 season, TV4 put the show on indefinite hiatus, until TV3 announced in June 2013 that they had acquired the rights for the show and will re-launch the show in Spring 2014 under the name "Talang Sverige".
